  I've fished alot of places on the coast of British Columbia and nobody catches fish like oli!! Boat and accommodations are the best around. Always privileged to experience the real west coast and all the beautiful wildlife and the fishing never disappoints! !. Glen is not only the safest and knowledgeable guide I've met but truly a great guy!! All the laughs and fish and wildlife is what brings me back to oli fishing charters for 8 years now!

  2. This company offers four different boat and we were on the smallest one. In addition, the boat itself is old and disgusting with full of trash

  Also I have fished across the whole west coast and we wanted to try out Olis Fishing Charter. First we were all very excited about this fishing trip and drove all the way from the U.S to Winter Harbour. In the end, we were quite quite disappointed with their guide/boat plus the service

  1. Once we got there, nobody was greeting us in the Lodge and we had to stand there waiting for half an hour until Oli gets back. I have also made several phone calls but nobody was there.

  7. Worst of all, the guide was sort of rude and non-stop swearing espically when we were offshore. Also one of my buddy that went fishing with me had absolutely no experience and accidently tangled the fishing line on the Propellar. The guide was furious and constantly blamed us on this accident. In addition, ones we untangled the line, the guide decided to head back inshore no matter what while others are actually catching fish. At the end of this trip, we felt quite uncomfortable due to the guide.

  Although fishing is fishing not catching. But espically due to the bad experiences on the guide. We decided to leave a day earlier and I would reconsider if I will be using this company again or even returning to Winter Harbour. What is worse, these guys called me back when I was driving home asking for tips for the guide!!! For those ones who are looking for a fishing charter on the island, I would only choose ones either in either Port Hardy or Ucluelet area.

  4. Unlike any other boats, all we caught was a bunch of tiny salmons in both days but others actually caught several massive HALIBUTS. I mean real BIG ones. It was actually a shame comparing to other boats

  5. At the end we caught few small fish and we asked if these guys have ice or not. According to the dock boy he said we have to go to Quaclicum River to buy the Ice. Once we got to the building, the guys from Quaclium River wouldn't sell any flaked Ice to us no matter what.

  Took my 63 year old dad on our first guided salmon fishing trip together. Incredible fishing, awesome floating cabin accommodations, and Oli is great guide and all around guy. We came home with two huge coolers full of salmon, lingcod and halibut. Can't wait to go back!

  6. On our second day of fishing, we woke up 5 minutes late. Since there were so many people in the lodge and all the food were gone. As a result, none of us got any breakfast on the second day of fishing.

  3. The price of the package they offered was pretty expensive comparing to other boats on the island.
